1. Ginger Root - for laryngitis - use 1 tsp. shredded root per cup of water, bring to a simmer and let stand for 15 minu tes. The leaves of this plant are generally used as a tonic, and is high in minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Vitamin C, D, E, K and the B vitamins.
2. Eucalyptus - Tea: use leaves [antiseptic as well as relieving congestion] , bath: mix with thyme, rub...
3. Echinacea - roots (tincture every 2 hours was the old way... now there are herbal pills which is good... this is NOT a tasty herb... ) stimulates the immune system... somewhat of an antiseptic... fresh leaves if chewed are numbing to the mouth... also helps induce sweating...
4. Chamomile - before bed... sleep, sore throat.. and steam is good for nasal passages too (note it is also an anti-inflammatory)
